The Wyoming Statehood Day Celebration will be at the Wyoming Territorial Prison Park. Laramie Jubilee Days was established as Wyoming’s Hometown Celebration for the sole purpose of celebrating Wyoming becoming a state on July 10, 1890. Laramie’s first celebration took place on the 50th anniversary of statehood day, in 1940. Since then, Laramie Jubilee Days has celebrated statehood day and July 10th is incorporated into the dates of the celebration every year.

Mariachi Band music was added to the Downtown events as a way to get people ready and festive leading up to the Jalapeno Eating Contest. So come on down and listen to the music while the contestants get themselves ready to take on the heat.

Adding some heat to Downtown Laramie, the Jalapeno Eating Contest has become a long standing event during Laramie Jubilee Days. Do you have what it takes to take the heat and beat out all your fellow competitors? Come on down and show us what you can eat!

Hailing from northern Colorado, the gentlemen with Barely Gettin’ By will have your feet stomping and scooting in no time! They are known to frequent Woodslanding so their sound is readily recognized in this area.

Randy Burghardt comes from a ranching and rodeo background and started playing music in 2005. Hailing from Eastern South Dakota with a passion for music and horses, Randy moved to Cheyenne, WY in 2012 to expand his career outside the state lines, becoming one of the four founding artists of Rocky Mountain Country Music, and now tours from the Dakotas to Texas. In 2014 he released his debut single, "Gate Opens Wide", and has since released more high energy singles that will keep you on your feet! He was nominated for Rocky Mountain Country Music song of the year in 2016 for his debut single and in 2017 for songwriter of the year for his single "Honkytonk Man". The Pancake Breakfast has been a staple during Laramie Jubilee Days for decades. It went away for a few years before being taken up by The Soup Kitchen. Since then, families find themselves enjoying the fabulous free breakfast on the lawn at St. Matthews before going about their day.

Born and raised in Laramie, country pop singer-songwriter Jamie Hansen is forging a new path in country music. Hansen began writing her own songs at age 6, incorporating not only country music, but also pop, rock, and the blues. In 2017, Hansen took a semester off college to pursue her dream in Music City, where she learned from other songwriters and industry insiders. Hansen then graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2020 - the same year she released her first EP dedicated to heartbreak entitled, "Heart Like Mine". In 2021, Hansen released 5 singles each with corresponding music videos. She has started off 2022 strong with her release of "The Writing's on the Wall" which will be followed by at least 4 more singles. Rowdy Decker is a growing force in country music in Texas. Raised in the small town of Brock, Texas, Rowdy clings to the values learned growing up in a hard working rural community. Rowdy’s musical journey began at a young age. He played the fiddle in the family bluegrass band and travelled to numerous festivals developing his talents. In his teens, Rowdy began showing an interest in the guitar and songwriting. He still works hard at improving his craft. Rowdy says “Nothing worth having comes easy”. So he remains diligent in his pursuit of his dreams of success. In 2017 Rowdy began his career by recording his first album comprised of song that he had written, and he chose to cover “Love” by Koe Wetzel. Bring your crew and your recipe downtown and compete with other local and regional chili aficionados in the CASI sanctioned Betty Kiser Memorial Chili Cookoff. CASI, or Chili Appreciation Society International, has been around for over 50 years. Did you know that some pretty famous people are associated with CASI? Carroll Shelby, best known for fast cars (Cobra and Shelby Mustangs), has been an integral part of CASI’s past as well. He was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 1974.

Bring the family to watch the Laramie Jubilee Days parade! Every year, the Laramie Jubilee Days Parade graces the streets of Laramie. Typically, you will see 85+ entries roll down the street, often delivering candy and other goodies to the people lining the street. Remember to bring bags to collect all the goodies handed out by the floats. Marching bands, fire trucks, and lots and lots of businesses and organizations are slated to participate.

For the past twenty years, Davis & Mavrick have performed tributes to the best-known songwriters of light rock, folk, country, and the standards of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. Singer/Songwriter Jake Haffey has been singing and playing music nearly all his life. After years of playing trumpet and singing with other accompaniment he eventually bought a guitar early in high school and has been playing ever since. Around 2006 he started playing small local gigs around Pinedale, eventually moving to play in Laramie (home of the University of Wyoming). Now after years of playing strictly covers (classic rock, reggae,singer/songwriter) the songwriting process is starting to get more serious and he is coming into his own sound of positive music.
